Privacy policy

Effective Date: August 21, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how SKYWORTH USA Corporation, a California corporation ("SKYWORTH USA," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you visit https://television.panasonic.com/en-us; browse, purchase, register, or seek support for Panasonic-branded televisions distributed by SKYWORTH USA under license; subscribe to communications; participate in promotions; submit reviews; or otherwise interact with us online or offline (collectively, the "Services").

This Policy applies only to processing for which SKYWORTH USA determines the purposes and means. It does not govern Panasonic Holdings Corporation, its affiliates, Amazon or Fire TV services, streaming providers, retailers, installers, delivery carriers, payment providers, Shopify, or other third parties when they act under their own privacy notices. Links and integrations do not imply that SKYWORTH USA controls those parties.

"Panasonic" is a registered trademark of Panasonic Holdings Corporation and is used under license by SKYWORTH USA. Panasonic-branded televisions offered through this website are distributed by SKYWORTH USA under license, solely within the applicable licensed territory.

1. Scope, roles, and important distinctions

Personal information means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked to an individual or household. Depending on applicable law, it may also be called personal data. It generally excludes lawfully public information, deidentified information, and aggregated information, subject to statutory definitions.

For most storefront, order, marketing, and support activity, SKYWORTH USA acts as a business or controller. A service provider or processor handles information on our instructions under contract. Some partners, such as payment networks, financial institutions, carriers, operating-system providers, connected-TV services, social networks, and advertising platforms, may independently determine their processing and therefore act as separate businesses or controllers.

A Panasonic-branded television may have device-level notices, setup choices, terms, and privacy settings supplied by an operating-system or content provider. This website Policy does not replace those notices. Review the notices shown during device setup and in the television settings before enabling voice, viewing, personalization, advertising, account-linking, or diagnostic features.

If a separate notice presented at collection conflicts with this Policy for a specific program, the more specific notice controls for that program to the extent permitted by law.

2. Personal information we collect

The information we collect depends on what you do, the features enabled on the site, the systems configured by SKYWORTH USA, and the choices you make. The following categories describe information we may collect; they do not mean we collect every listed data element about every person.

Do not submit health, biometric, or other sensitive data unless requested through a secure channel. You; security and verification providers.
Inferences Likely product interests, audience segments, fraud risk, or preferences derived from activity and purchases. Our systems; analytics, advertising, and fraud providers.

3. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you create an account, place an order, register a product, contact support, make a warranty claim, post content, enter a promotion, complete a survey, or set preferences. Providing optional information is voluntary, but we may be unable to complete a transaction or request without information marked as required.

We collect information automatically through server logs, cookies, pixels, local storage, tags, and similar technologies. These tools may recognize a browser or device, keep a session secure, remember a cart, measure site performance, attribute advertising, prevent fraud, and personalize content. The Cookie Notice explains the categories and controls.

We may receive information from Shopify and installed storefront applications; payment and fraud providers; retailers and authorized service providers; delivery and installation partners; warranty administrators; advertising, analytics, and social platforms; data hygiene or identity-matching providers; public sources; and a person who buys a gift or submits a request for you. We require an appropriate basis and contractual protections where law requires them.

We do not intentionally obtain television viewing history, voice recordings, or connected-TV app activity through the retail website unless a separate product feature and notice expressly describes that collection.

4. Purposes for which we use personal information

We use personal information to provide the Services and products you request, including to operate the storefront, authenticate users, maintain carts, process orders and payments, arrange delivery or installation, provide receipts and transactional messages, register products, administer returns and warranties, diagnose issues, and respond to inquiries.

We use information to maintain and improve our business: understand demand and site usage; test features; perform quality assurance; train support personnel; manage inventory and distribution; reconcile transactions; maintain records; audit vendors; and develop products, services, and customer experiences. Where required, we use deidentified or aggregated information and maintain it in that form.

We use information for security, integrity, and compliance: detect fraud, abuse, bots, and account compromise; protect customers, personnel, systems, and property; enforce terms; investigate disputes; comply with tax, accounting, sanctions, export, product-safety, recall, litigation, and government-request obligations; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

With consent or as otherwise permitted, we market products and services, measure and improve campaigns, personalize offers, conduct audience matching, and display or help others display interest-based advertising. Transactional communications are not marketing. You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the message link, but may still receive order, warranty, safety, security, and service communications.

We may use information for another purpose disclosed when collected, with your direction or consent, or as otherwise permitted by law. We will seek consent before materially incompatible processing when applicable law requires it.

5. Legal bases where required

Some laws require us to identify a legal basis. Depending on the context, we process information to perform a contract or take steps at your request; pursue legitimate interests such as operating, securing, analyzing, and improving the business; comply with legal obligations; protect vital interests; or act with consent. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it prospectively. Where processing relies on legitimate interests, we consider the effects on individuals and available safeguards.

The Services are directed to the United States. This Policy does not represent that the Services are offered in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or other jurisdictions.

6. How we disclose personal information

We disclose information to vendors that support hosting, ecommerce, cloud storage, payment processing, fraud prevention, analytics, consent management, communications, customer support, warranty administration, repair, delivery, installation, returns, product reviews, cybersecurity, professional advice, and records management. They receive information reasonably necessary for their services and are subject to contractual restrictions appropriate to their role.

We disclose information to distributors, retailers, installers, repair providers, carriers, operating-system and connected-TV providers, content providers, and other partners when necessary to deliver a requested product or service, resolve a support matter, validate coverage, provide device features, or honor your direction. Their independent processing is governed by their own notices.

Subject to your choices and applicable law, advertising and analytics partners may receive online identifiers, device and browsing activity, approximate location, campaign interactions, and inferences. Some state laws may define particular disclosures for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising even when no money is exchanged. See the state rights sections and the Do Not Sell or Share page.

We may disclose information in a merger, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or due diligence transaction, subject to confidentiality and applicable law. We may also disclose it to comply with law or legal process; protect rights, safety, and security; investigate fraud; enforce agreements; or with your consent or direction.

We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing in exchange for money as an ordinary business model.

7. Cookies, advertising, and preference signals

Necessary technologies support security, network management, checkout, fraud prevention, load balancing, account login, and preference storage. Analytics technologies help measure traffic and performance. Functional technologies remember choices and enable enhanced features. Advertising technologies measure campaigns, limit repetition, build audiences, and personalize ads on this or other services.

Where the site provides a consent manager, use the Cookie Preferences tool available on the site to make device- and browser-specific choices. Blocking all cookies in a browser may break checkout or account features. Cookie lifetimes and vendors may change as the site and its services are updated.

Where required, we process a recognized Global Privacy Control or other legally valid opt-out preference signal as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising for the browser or device that sends it, and for an associated profile when required and technically feasible. We do not treat a browser's general Do Not Track setting as a request unless law requires it, because no uniform industry standard applies to that signal.

Opting out does not stop contextual ads or all data transfers. We may continue transfers to service providers or processors for necessary business purposes and other activities that applicable law does not define as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising.

8. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary and proportionate for the disclosed purposes, including to provide products and support, maintain warranty and safety records, comply with tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, detect fraud, and maintain security. Retention depends on the information's nature and sensitivity, the product lifecycle, limitation periods, legal holds, contractual requirements, and technical constraints.

Illustratively, account information may be retained while the account is active; order, tax, and payment records for the period required by financial and tax rules; warranty and service records through the relevant product lifecycle and claim period; marketing records until opt-out plus a suppression record; consent records for accountability; security logs for a limited security window; and backups until overwritten under the backup cycle.

When retention ends, we delete, deidentify, or aggregate information, subject to backup cycles and legal holds. We may retain a minimal record necessary to document a request, preserve an opt-out, detect fraud, or demonstrate compliance.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, such as access controls, encryption where appropriate, vendor review, logging, vulnerability management, secure development practices, incident response, and workforce training. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Use a unique password, protect account credentials, keep devices and browsers updated, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized activity. Do not send payment card numbers, government identifiers, passwords, or sensitive diagnostic files through ordinary email.

10. Your choices

Account and order information may be reviewed or updated through available account tools or by contacting support. Marketing email can be stopped using the unsubscribe link; allow a reasonable processing period permitted by law. Cookie and targeted-advertising choices are available through the preference interface and recognized preference signals where applicable.

If you publish a review or other content, it may remain visible until removed under the platform process, subject to legal exceptions. Removing content does not necessarily remove copies previously shared by others or preserved in records.

Some choices are browser-, device-, account-, or service-specific. Clearing cookies may reset the choice stored in that browser. Sign in where offered if you want a preference associated with an account.

11. U.S. state privacy rights

Residents of states with applicable comprehensive privacy laws may have rights to confirm processing; access; correct; delete; obtain a portable copy; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive data; withdraw consent; and appeal a refusal. Rights, definitions, exceptions, thresholds, and response periods vary by state, and not every right applies to every person or processing activity.

Submit a request using the methods in Section 19. Describe the right and state of residence. We will verify a request using information reasonably related to the request's sensitivity, such as matching account or order information. We will not require account creation solely to make a request. If we cannot verify a request, we may ask for additional information or limit the response as permitted by law.

An authorized agent may submit a request where law permits. We may require proof of authorization and, unless prohibited, may ask the consumer to verify identity or confirm authority directly. Parents or guardians may act for a child where applicable.

We respond within the period required by applicable law and will explain any permitted extension. We may deny or limit a request when an exception applies, identity cannot be verified, the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive where that standard applies, or fulfillment would adversely affect another person's rights. We do not discriminate for exercising a privacy right. A lawful financial incentive or bona fide loyalty program, if offered, will have separate terms and notice.

If we deny a request and your state provides an appeal right, reply to the decision or use the request form and label the submission 'Privacy Appeal.' We will respond within the legally required period and provide the appropriate regulator contact when required.

12. California residents

California residents should read the separate California Privacy Notice, which includes the categories of personal information collected, purposes, disclosure categories, retention approach, CCPA rights, and request methods. The separate notice is incorporated into this Policy for California residents.

To opt out of sale or sharing, use the Do Not Sell or Share link available on the site, the cookie-preference interface, or a recognized opt-out preference signal. To limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information, use the method provided on the site if SKYWORTH USA engages in use that triggers the CCPA limitation right. A link need not be displayed where SKYWORTH USA does not engage in triggering use.

California's Shine the Light law may provide rights concerning certain disclosures for third parties' direct marketing. Submit a request using the contact details below and state 'California Shine the Light.' The law contains definitions and exceptions distinct from the CCPA.

13. Nevada residents

Nevada residents may request to opt out of a covered operator's sale of certain covered information as defined by Nevada law. SKYWORTH USA does not presently intend to sell covered information for monetary consideration to a person who will license or sell it to additional persons. If that practice changes, we will provide the required mechanism. Nevada requests may be submitted using the methods in Section 19.

14. Children and teens

The retail Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 in a manner subject to COPPA without legally required notice and verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child provided information improperly, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 without the affirmative authorization required by California law. State laws may provide additional protections for teen data, targeted advertising, profiling, social media, or design features.

15. Connected television and third-party services

Panasonic-branded televisions may integrate a third-party operating system, app store, streaming services, voice assistant, advertising ID, automatic content recognition, diagnostics, or other connected features. The provider shown during setup may collect viewing, voice, search, device, account, location, advertising, or diagnostic information under its own notice and settings. SKYWORTH USA does not control independent third-party accounts or services.

Before activating connected features, review on-screen notices and settings. Device reset, account unlinking, advertising-ID reset, voice-history deletion, and privacy controls may be available through the television or third-party account. Contact the identified provider for requests about information it controls.

16. User content and public areas

Content posted in a public review, question, social feed, or community area may be visible to others and indexed by search engines. Do not post personal, confidential, or third-party information. We may moderate content under the Terms of Use, but cannot control how others copy or use information you choose to publish.

17. External links and social features

The Services may link to or embed third-party sites, plug-ins, and social features. Those parties may receive information when a feature loads or when you interact with it. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Review them before providing information.

17A. Orders, payments, fraud, and financing

When you submit an order, the storefront sends order and transaction information to payment, fraud-prevention, tax, fulfillment, and customer-service providers. The payment provider may collect card or bank information directly and return a token, authorization result, card brand, last digits, billing details, and fraud indicators. SKYWORTH USA generally does not need the full payment credential. A financial institution, buy-now-pay-later provider, or financing company independently determines eligibility and handles an application under its own notice.

We and our providers may compare order, device, address, account, and transaction signals; request verification; place an authorization hold; limit quantities; or cancel a suspected fraudulent or unlawful transaction. An automated risk score may inform, but should not be the sole basis for, a decision that produces a legally significant effect without the review and disclosures required by applicable law. Contact support if you believe an order was incorrectly rejected.

Chargebacks and disputes may require disclosure of order confirmation, delivery evidence, communications, device or login records, and return history to the processor, network, bank, carrier, insurer, or adviser. Records may be retained through dispute and legal limitation periods.

17B. Delivery, installation, returns, warranty, and recalls

To deliver or install a television, we may disclose name, address, contact details, order details, access instructions, appointment preferences, and relevant service notes to carriers, warehouses, installers, and scheduling providers. Avoid including medical or other sensitive details in access instructions; contact support if an accommodation is needed. Providers may contact you about scheduling and completion, but may not use the information for unrelated marketing unless independently permitted.

For a return, warranty claim, repair, or safety investigation, we may collect receipt, retailer, model and serial number, purchase and delivery dates, problem description, photographs, video, device settings, diagnostic results, service history, replacement details, and communications. Remove or sign out of third-party accounts and erase locally stored personal content before service where safe and feasible. A repaired or returned device may be reset, and SKYWORTH USA is not responsible for preserving content except as law requires.

Product-safety, recall, insurance, and regulatory matters may require us to contact owners, verify distribution, preserve records for the product lifecycle, and disclose information to regulators, manufacturers, licensors, insurers, laboratories, service networks, or legal advisers. Safety communications are not marketing and may continue after a marketing opt-out.

17C. Customer support and call practices

Support interactions may be recorded or monitored for quality, training, security, dispute resolution, and compliance when disclosed and permitted. Where required by law, we obtain consent before recording begins and provide an appropriate alternative. Chatbots and automated assistants identify themselves and provide access to human support where appropriate.

Support personnel may ask for account, order, model, serial, network, firmware, or diagnostic information. We do not ask you to provide a password, full payment-card number, or unnecessary government identifier during ordinary support interactions. Remote access or screen sharing occurs only after clear notice, for the requested session, and with controls that allow you to stop the session.

We may analyze support topics and outcomes to identify recurring defects and improve service. Where support information is used to improve services, we limit the information used and deidentify it where feasible. If automated tools are used to summarize, route, or assist with responses, we apply appropriate access, retention, contractual, and human-review safeguards.

17D. Marketing communications and audience activities

If you subscribe, we may use contact information, purchases, browsing, campaign interactions, and inferred interests to select and measure messages. Email pixels and rewritten links can report opens or clicks, although these measurements may be inaccurate because of privacy features. SMS marketing, if offered, requires separate disclosures and consent; consent to marketing is not a condition of purchase where prohibited, and carrier message/data rates may apply.

Advertising platforms may allow customer-list matching, conversion measurement, retargeting, or lookalike audiences. These activities can involve hashing contact data, online identifiers, browsing or purchase events, and campaign information. Hashing is a security technique and does not necessarily make information anonymous. We apply appropriate contractual safeguards to these activities and honor applicable opt-out requests.

Unsubscribing stops future marketing from the identified program after the permitted processing time, but we retain a suppression record so the choice is honored. Separate brands or independent third parties may require separate opt-outs. We do not send marketing on behalf of Panasonic Holdings Corporation unless the relationship, roles, and required consent are documented and disclosed.

17E. Promotions, reviews, and surveys

A sweepstakes, contest, rebate, trade-in, product test, or promotion may require eligibility, identity, purchase, submission, tax, shipping, and publicity information under separate official rules. Publicity use is subject to the rules and applicable law. Promotion administrators and fulfillment providers receive information necessary to operate the program. We do not use a promotion to obtain consent that is bundled, unclear, or invalid under applicable privacy law.

Review providers may verify a purchase, invite feedback, moderate prohibited content, detect fraud, and publish a display name, rating, text, image, or video you choose to submit. Do not include serial numbers, addresses, order numbers, faces of others, or confidential information in public content. If we offer an incentive for a review, we disclose the incentive and do not require a positive review.

Survey responses may be linked to an account or kept anonymous depending on the invitation. A survey will state when responses are anonymous; otherwise, do not assume anonymity. We may use aggregated results for research, service improvement, and business planning.

17F. Deidentified, aggregated, and household information

We may create aggregated or deidentified information by removing or transforming identifiers and combining records. Where a state law regulates deidentified data, we maintain it in deidentified form, take reasonable measures to prevent association with an individual, publicly commit not to reidentify it except where legally permitted to test safeguards, and contractually require recipients to comply with applicable restrictions.

Aggregation and pseudonymization reduce risk but do not automatically place information outside every privacy law. A cookie ID, advertising ID, hashed email, or device identifier can remain personal information because it may single out or be linkable to a person or household. We classify information based on the law and realistic ability to link it, not only the presence of a name.

Some rights and records concern a household, gift recipient, shared device, or joint account. We balance the requesting person's rights with the privacy of others and may provide household-level information only when verification and law allow it.

17G. Government, legal process, and safety requests

We assess government and law-enforcement requests for appropriate authority, scope, jurisdiction, and legal validity. Where permitted and appropriate, we seek clarification or narrowing and notify the affected person unless prohibited or doing so would create a risk. We may preserve information in response to a lawful preservation demand even if ordinary retention would otherwise end.

We may disclose information without a request when reasonably necessary to report suspected fraud, cyberattack, threat, abuse, exploitation, product-safety event, or emergency; protect a person from serious harm; enforce legal rights; or satisfy mandatory reporting. The legal basis and scope depend on the circumstances.

Civil litigation, insurance, regulatory examination, and professional advice may require disclosure to courts, parties, experts, auditors, insurers, accountants, or lawyers under legal and confidentiality controls. We use only information reasonably relevant to the matter.

17H. Vendor governance and onward transfers

We evaluate material providers based on privacy, security, data location, subprocessors, incident response, deletion, and rights-assistance capabilities in proportion to risk. Our agreements include privacy, security, retention, incident-notification, and data-use restrictions appropriate to the provider's role and applicable law.

A provider may use subprocessors only under appropriate terms. We review material changes and seek remediation or replacement when a provider cannot meet obligations. No vendor review eliminates all risk, and individuals should review the independent notice of a provider acting as its own controller.

If information is transferred in a corporate transaction, the recipient may use it consistently with this Policy, transaction notices, and law. A materially different use may require additional notice or consent.

17I. Location and cross-border processing

SKYWORTH USA and providers may process information in U.S. states other than your residence and, if verified in the data map, in other countries. Privacy and government-access laws can differ. Contracts and security measures are used where required, but the United States does not have a single comprehensive federal privacy law equivalent to every foreign regime.

This U.S. storefront is not intentionally offered to foreign markets. Orders may be limited by shipping, export, warranty, and licensed-territory rules. A visitor outside the United States should not assume local availability or that foreign rights apply.

17J. Request handling details

A request response may include information provided by you and information derived from activity, but not data that would reveal another person's information, compromise security, expose trade secrets, or violate law. Portability is supplied in a usable format where required and technically feasible. We may direct you to self-service tools for readily accessible account information while still completing the legally required response.

Correction requests are evaluated in light of the information's nature, purpose, and source. We may annotate a disputed fact rather than overwrite a transaction or fraud record that must remain accurate as originally recorded. Deletion does not require removing information subject to a legal exception, but exempt information remains restricted to permitted purposes.

If we charge a fee or decline a repetitive request, we do so only when applicable law permits and after documenting the basis. Appeals are reviewed by someone able to reconsider the decision. We keep an audit trail of request date, right, verification, decision, response, appeal, and downstream action without retaining more verification data than necessary.

18. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, products, vendors, or business practices. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required. Material changes apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise. Retain a copy for your records.

19. Contact us and submit a request

Privacy requests: email support@skyworthusa.com; telephone (626) 331-9666; mail: SKYWORTH USA Corporation, Attn: Privacy, 10833 Valley View Street, Suite 415, Cypress, CA 90630. Please do not send sensitive personal information by ordinary email.

For an accessibility-related request, use the contact method in the Accessibility Statement. For product support, returns, or warranty service, use the customer-support channel; sending a privacy request does not start a product return or warranty claim.
